The Manor House

Aged Jacaranda trees provide an enchanting avenue, greeting you as you enter this serene establishment. A fine collection of antiques and Persian carpets adorn the reception rooms and suites, warmed by crackling wood fires when winter's chill sets in.

The luxurious Highgrove House is situated on a 64-hectare farm, combining 5-star accommodation in Mpumalanga along with gourmet cuisine and a hideaway pastoral setting offering sweeping views over the Mpumalanga Lowveld valley. Voted the Best Small Boutique Hotel for several years in South Africa, at Highgrove House personal service is assured.

The original Farmstead was constructed around the turn of the 18th century and in 1988 renovations commenced to retain the character of the era with the newly constructed luxury suites. In 1991 Highgrove House opened its doors as a five-star country hotel, set in the serene surrounds of Hazyview. In 2008 Highgrove House was acquired by Kathy Russell, who, since this very day has proudly run Highgrove House as a family establishment.  Today, our guests can luxuriate as a part of South African history, with modern comforts, complete privacy, and personal service.
